How Assassin's Creed Unity Can Save Notre Dame

In April 16, French were shocked with a news about a fire-burning building. The fire almost destroy the whole building, but the firefighter come in the right time to put out the fire. It was really devastating for all of us and french people in particular. Why? Because it was not just an ordinary building, but it was Notre Dame. One of the most historical building in the world, where all of the french historical artifacts was stored and also the silent witness to a french revolution.

Of course this tragedy did not cause any casualties, but there's still a sense of loss over this historical monument. Especially when the cathedral's spire went down. Luckily, the fire didn't destroyed all building, only some parts like the stained glass window, the roof where the fire began, the oak frame, and the spire. Most expert and historian are expected something like this to be happen, because most of the Notre Dame's building material is so old. Thus making Notre Dame vulnerable to fire. That's why they renovate Notre Dame. And thanks to the renovation, all of the historical artifacts like the Holy Crown of Thorns, and a sacred tunic worn by 13^th century French King Louis that was stored in the cathedral, have been removed.

And for your information, this is actually not the first time Notre Dame is almost destroyed. It was happen in the early 19^th century, and thanks to the Victor Hugo's novel “Notre-Dame de Paris”. The cathedral was gaining enough attention and finally restored. That means the same thing can happen, the historical cathedral can be restored again after the fire. And it does, everyone from a billionaire and a country like Japan have been donating some money to help rebuild Notre Dame. But i think that's not enough, French government need one more help.

Not from another billionaire or an organization, but from a video game. And that game is Assassin's Creed Unity. If you have played this game, you must be know that this game is set in the french revolution. The time before the Notre Dame almost destroyed. But why Assassin's Creed? Well, this game is known in its world recreation of actual location like Vatican in Brotherhood, Giza Pyramid in Origins, and Notre Dame in Unity. The artist of the game, Caroline Miousse, took two years to perfect Notre Dame's appearance. She make sure that each brick is where it should be.

Miousse also worked with historian to research and build every section of the building. They rebuild the cathedral in a 1:1 ration and even helped her figured out which painting that was hang on the walls, how tall the spire should be, and a lot of other detail that was poured into this game. If they did use Unity to restored Notre Dame, then that means there's two thing that can be broke. First, a stigma about video game is bad for your kids. And second, what some people said about too late to save and rebuild Notre Dame. We did have lost a piece of history. But hope is still there as long as we all stand together and help rebuild Notre Dame.

How To Strengthen A Smartphone Signal At Home

There are lots of problem that you can find in your smartphone, from an unresponsive touchscreen to an exploding battery. And there's one problem that was already existed long before the first smartphone was born. What is it? Yes, it's the lack of signal or people sometimes called it “No Signal”. These problem have scared a lot of smartphone users, they will panic and angry when “No Signal” attacked. It's like the sky is about to fall when they can't access the internet.

Did you sometimes wonder why people are so panic and afraid when their smartphone didn't have a signal or service? Well, that's because thousands or million years ago, we didn't have so many demands. Back then the only thing that we need was shelter, food, and water (probably sex too) in order to survive in the wild. But in this 21'st century the machines are rising, technologies are evolving. We are spoiled by them, making our demands or need become more diverse. We need shelter, food, water, transportation, servant, power source, education, etc. And among all of that demands, communication devices are probably the first and the most important thing that we should have. We can do so many things with this device, from calling a friend in another continents to browsing a meme in google.

If we want to talk about communication devices, we can't ignore the smartphones. Among all communication devices in the history of mankind, smartphone is probably the most succesful one. And like most of the communication devices, smartphone receive a signal from a communication tower or satelite. So that we can call someone or access the internet. But what if one day your phone didn't receive any signal, even though you are at home.

No Signal Solution

This world is full of annoying stuff or person and you can find most of them on the internet. Sometimes people will be annoyed by it, then angry and shared it on social media. These “annoying stuff” are diverse between one person to another. There are people that will angry if they heard an offensive word, but some people are simple; they will angry if you punch him or her in the face.

But there's one thing that will make people from around the world goes crazy. Yes, it's the “No Signal” problem. But don't worry, I got the solution:

1. Go To The Open Space

This is probably the most simple and easiest way to strengthen your smartphone signal. One of the common reason why your smartphone doesn't have a signal is because the place you are in, is holding the signal. It couldn't catch an incoming signal, so when your smartphone is about to receive the signal, it's already weak. The solution? Just go outside and go to the highest tree, so you can receive a better signal . Beside playing smartphone in your home for hours is not healthy, go outside for a minute and look at the beautiful scenery while waiting for your smartphone to receive a signal.

2. Set Your Network

A weak signal is smartphone's user biggest fear, but this time it's not because of the place blocking the signal. But because you didn't have the right setting, no APN, or a wrong network type. It's easy to solve this problem (on android of course). Just go to setting, then SIM Cards & Mobile Networks, and choose your telecommunication provider.

3. Restart Your Smartphone

If you have a PC and you encounter a problem on your PC. One of the solution to your problem, is usually to restart your PC right? Sometimes it worked and sometimes it doesn't. But, what if we use this solution to solve a problem that occur on a different gadget like this one? Well, guess what? It's worked-every single time (for me at least...). And that's because restarting is almost the same like resetting your smartphone. So when you restart your smartphone, it will reset the network and signal receiver in your smartphone. That means, your smartphone will be better at receiving signal after you restart it.

4. Airplane Mode

Another way to powered up your signal is to use the airplane mode. All smartphone user know this trick, and it's pretty easy. All you have to do is turn the airplane mode off, then wait for 5 seconds and turn it on. This trick is popular among smartphone user, because it's usually work. But if this trick doesn't work, then try it again untill it's working.

5. Adjust Your Network

If those tips above are not working, then you should try this one. Which is also the last tips on this list. By the way, did you know that some smartphone are very sensitive to a signal? And you have to set your network to an available network in your area? Yes, if you are using a 4G network in a 3G area then it's not gonna work. Almost all smartphone have a setting to change the network type. So I don't have to explained it again, and don't forget to pay attention to what kind of network you are using.

That's all I got, I can't think any tips about strengthen your smartphone signal. I hope all of those tips are working and you can steal all the meme in the internet. But if it's still doesn't work, then just turn your smartphone off, wait for an hour and go outside. Do something useful and healthy, don't just stay in your home and starring at your smartphone for days like a zombie!
